Kale Chips – I accidentally made some one night by tossing some chopped kale in with some boiling pasta and then a few pieces stuck to the pan and dried out overnight. 

Rice based ice cream – Over cook rice, puree with yogurt and flavoring (fruit, corn, etc).  The chef at The Ranch gave me the idea, but I need to figure out the proportions.

    I would argue that the best pizza sauce is the simplest one you can make. Tomatoes, onions, salt, pepper, a little garlic, and some thyme or basil. Maybe even just the tomatoes, salt, pepper, and thyme. In my not so humble opinion, pizza is all about the crust, with sauce and toppings as secondary components. (Similar to pasta being about the noodle with sauce as an accompaniment). But hey, what do I know?

      I go back and forth on the pasta vs. sauce issue. It’s healthier to have the emphasis on the sauce, with the noodles playing backup. But, when I have some really great pasta, it doesn’t need much sauce at all – maybe just salt, pepper, butter, and a bit of Parmesan.

        Cacio e Pepe. One of the simplest and most delicious pasta dishes ever. If you are ever in Rome, find it.
